Blaze won't pair with Bluetooth

I have been following the instructions on how to pair my Fitbit blaze to Bluetooth to set up my new blaze and it won't work. I just bought it this afternoon and it won't pair or sync for set up.

To get mine to work, I had to first sync to my computer with the charger and update the firmware on the Blaze.  Then I was able to sync to my Samsung Note 4 just fine.

It took several times to get it to work with the computer, as it didn't like 1 of the USB ports.  Would only work with a USB port on the back of the tower.

Rich_Laue I have seen some third party "Fitbit" dongles. Do they work ok or are they just junk. I was just wondering. I have a friend at work that wants to try one and I told them I wasn't sure if they were any good or not.

I would not know, I haven't seen any 3rd party dongles that say they work with Fitbit. Most of the dongles I see don't mention Low Energy. Even if they do, they might only work with h the Win10 app, which is the only software's Fitbit has that will work with a generic BTLE.

Putting the '@' before a person's name will send a notifacation of being mentioned.

Mine connected but I don't get any phone notifications and half the time the music player controls don't work

@ladynay you have to turn the notifications on in the settings of the fitbit app on your phone or pc. Then you'll get them. I had to figure that one out too. The music controls sometimes work, but not while I'm in my car. I'm guessin it's because the phone is also Bluetooth syncing to my car and I think only one item can be syncing with Bluetooth at a time.

It won't sync to my computer for whatever reason but the notifications are turned on in the phone app

I'm not sure what phone you have, but try turning the BT off on the Phone. Now see if the computer will sync.
Any BT receiver can only connect to one device at a time. If the Blaze is connected to the phone, it probably won't connect to the computer.

Seems I have the same frustrating problem as millions of other people that have just purchased a Fitbit Blaze. Running a Samsung S4 on the lollipop system and when i scan in my Bluetooth the Blaze is viewable to sync but rejects it everytime i attempt to Sync. I tried syncing from the fitbit app but it just keeps telling me turn on Bluetooth ( yes Bluetooth is on) and make sure the Blaze is turned on. I am assuming my screen isnt showing a charge battery or any screen as it hasnt been sycned yet and just keeps flashing www.setupfitbit. I Also have my location turned on as mentioned on some of the help pages. I evan tried downloading the app on my computer but then it asks for a Dongle..the Blaze doesnt come with a dongle???

After a fustrating couple of days Ive sorted out my sync problem with my new Blase.  I switched the wifi off and started the sync using the app (HTC oneM8) but kept the phone screen live by keeping my finger moving on the screen.  The phone and blase have updated and now working correctly.  Basicly dont let your phone go to screen saver

I have had this problem on and off with notifications all of a sudden not being sent from my Galaxy 5S phone. What seems to work is updating fitbit software in Google Play store, restarting my phone which allowed it to sync again.  Notifications are working now.
