Bluetooth wont stay synced

I have had my fitbit around 3 months (not sure how old it is because it was a hand me down) but i have never had trouble with it before and now all of a sudden it will not stay synched and so it is not reading my heart rate and not working properly.  I can go into settings and turn it on and then within 5 mins it has lost connection again. Anyone  know how to fix this?

I am glad to assist you with the issue you're having with your Fitbit Blaze which stopped syncing and reading your heart rate. I appreciate your efforts to resolve this and recommend following our complete troubleshooting instructions from this help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

This is also happening to me, I have tried unpairing my Fitbit from my phone and then repairing, switching bluetooth off and on again, resetting my blaze.... I could be wearing my blaze right next to my phone and it doesnt pick it up. No other issues with any other bluetooth gadgets linked to my phone. My Fitbit is 2years old.

Hi @NicolaPE29, thank you for your reply. I am sorry for the delayed response.

Thank you for sharing that you have the Samsung S9 phone. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Go into your phone settings and select "Apps"
  2. Find and select Fitbit
  3. Tap "Advanced" and then tap "Battery"
  4. Select "Battery Optimization"
  5. Tap the bar at the top of the screen and select "All Apps"
  6. Find Fitbit in the list, tap it and select "Don't Optimize"

This should help improve your syncing experience and should not have a large impact on your phone's battery life.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi

This is already done - none of my apps have been selected for battery optimisation - so what would you suggest instead, as it's still not syncing correctly
