Calories burned are incorrect

I recently got a blaze for Christmas and am a little sceptical of the calories burned count. My BMR is 1870 per day and on a typical day I burn around 3500 including a run/gym Workout. However today I did the usual workout (~400 calories) and by midday I was a little sceptical of the count, so in the evening I took my watch off and left it on the side and yet my calorie count shot up to 4,300. Can someone help explain why it was so high considering I did not wear the watch for a good few hours? Thanks

It's great to have you here @Saints10! Fitbit will calculate your calories burned based in the personal information that you entered when you created your Fitbit profile. So, please make sure that all your data is properly entered. If you don't use your tracker for a day, it will still show calories burned because of your BMR. You can learn more about it by checking How does Fitbit estimate how many calories I've burned?

It could show more calories burned than usual if your activities were more intense and you got more active minutes. However, if after checking the information provided above you're still not sure about the data that you're getting. You can always restart your Blaze and continue monitoring it.
