Hi there, this may be a really silly question but if I burn 400 calories biking, will it add it to my allowable calories to eat in my food log? I hope this make sense!!

There's no such thing as a silly question!
The answer is: yes. Any additional calories that you burn are added to your allowance. You'll need to eat extra to meet your target but what I liked to do when I was trying to lose weight was to only eat some of those additional calories so I increased my rate of loss. Now I'm on a maintenance diet I eat them all!
