Cannot add friends

I have been using fitbit for many years now,  for past few days this week i am having trouble in adding friends that i see from community page and people from challenges list.  I thought it might some temporary issue in iOS app and hence tried to add via web it is not allowing me to add.

One of the my friend in fitbit suggested to unfriend and friend them again, so i tried doing that and now i can't even ad that person as friend anymore.

A warm welcome to the Forums @toarvindh, thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself.

Please confirm you are doing the following from your Fitbit app to add your friends:

1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the + icon .
2. Tap or click Add Friend. 
3. Choose how you want to connect to your friends and follow the onscreen instructions.

Also, I recommend checking if your app is updated by following the instructions provided in the How do I update the Fitbit app for iOS? by our friend @MarreFitbit.

I have the same problem and cannot get anyone to respond with a reason why or a fix. This is going on for 4 months. Why?
