Cannot log in to Fitbit on Fitbit app

I suddenly was logged out involuntarily of the Fitbit app on my phone. It wants me to log in with Google but I don't have a Google account and I don't want one. The login screen still has a link to log in with my Fitbit password but it won't accept the password, which still works to log into the Fitbit website. I called yesterday (6/27/23) and was told there was some software problem, but it has not  been fixed yet. I have a Samsung cell phone

Hi @LF5 I'm not sure which type of phone, Android / IOS. It sounds like for it is aware of the issue. 

For now, we are not being forced to switch to a Google login and can still use our fitbit login. 

Make sure that you are using the same login credentials. With some apps, I use copy and paste to transfer from the browser to the app.
