Be aware that your Fitbit will be no good in 2years. They are proving to only be good for the first 9 months if used Daily. Buy these at your own risk!!!!

They will only work for 2 years but yours is only 9 months old. Help me with that logic. Thanks.

First, I never said mine was only 9 months old. Secondly, I said 9 months of straight usage is when one would start to see problems according to the many Fitbit consumers. Lastly, mine is 2 years old. Smh...

I don’t like wasting money for no reason and I am sure a lot of individuals share that opinion. There is no need for personal attacks.
I am also frustrated by the fact that the heart rate sensor on my Fitbits have consistently stopped working after 2 years almost to the day. I am expecting to keep the device forever (I under the concept of thermodynamics thank you) but 2 years seems unreasonable.

“I’m NOT* expecting to keep the device forever” is what it should have said.
also to add: this is 3rd this has been happening. I might as well pay a 60-70 dollar yearly subscription at this point. The thing is if Fitbit was upfront about this I could at least anticipate the 2year thing

@olivious The Blaze is nearly 5 years old and was discontinued over 2.5 years ago. If you bought one 2 years ago, good chance it was a referb. My Blaze was 4 years old in March and still works.

Why would you assume I bought a refurbished device? Presumptuous much? This device I speak of is the charge 3 which I purchased 2 years ago from Fitbit s website. Nice try

@olivious You're posting in the Blaze section. The Blaze was already discontinued for a while 2 years ago. And I didn't assume. I said it's possible.

Indeed, 3rd Fitbit that just stopped working exactly after 9 months. I’m having same experience as you. Additionally, the charge 5 is terrible!!! Charge 3 was much better even if more basic. Regardless, all 3 Fitbit I bought stopped working around 9-10 months. Waiting to be on chat with customer care at the moment. Fingers crossed.

This is the second fitbit sense I have gotten in 2.5 years and both have stopped working (electrosencing button does not respond any longer). Has this issue been fixed on the sense 2 or should I look for a competitor device? Disappointed customer!

I agree. This is the 3rd Fitbit I have had. All start to go at a little over 2 years. I was watching a story on the news the other day about devices they were talking about phones starting not to behave quite properly after 2 to 3 years and they mentioned this is the same with your smart watches. It said to help the longevity of a smart, watch not to charge it over 80% and not to let it go onto 20% the same with phones. Don’t quite know the logic but that’s what I heard my fit that is two years and three months it just started to not record sleep, and as slowly started to count stairs that I did not do. Ranging from 25 stairs a day to 50 stairs a day extra while I buy another Fitbit I do not know they are awful expensive to go that short period of time.

Yea no, I've had my blaze since 2018, used it daily for a year, then let it sit in my dresser until this last month, and now I'm back to daily using. Battery still lasts 4 days on one charge. No issues with it tracking or anything else

Same here, except mine is even older - bought it in 2015, used it for around a year, put away in a drawer, got it out a few months ago and it's been working perfectly (occasional issues with not receiving phone notifications, but other than that, fine). I can't think of many devices that I would expect to work that well! Maybe the newer models are less long lasting than the original ones?
