I inadvertently forgot to take off my blaze when I went for a dip in the gulf. I was in the water for about 5 minutes and now the Blaze is completely dead. Once, again inadvertently, I went into a swimming pool, but came out after less than a minute and there was no problem. Advertisement for the product indicates that it is waterproof down to 25 feet. This appears not to be case. What do I do now?

@Heacham  you have the Blaze? It's water resistant, not able to get in the water. See Page 37 of the user manual, which states the environmental conditions.

All you can do is put the Blaze in a dry bowl of rice for 48 hours and then charge it, restart it and hope that is works. If it's working ok, it might still have moisture in it, so try the rice.

It slowly recovered over five days. Parts worked, but much did not. For example it did not count sleep and it displayed the Fitbit logo on a very frequent basis and the clock screen could not be displayed by tapping the screen. However, I am happy to say that it now appears to be 100% back to normal - display, heart rate, sleep pattern, text messages etc.

What great news @Heacham

You did what you could and gave it some time, so now you're back to stepping. Way to go!

Thanks for the update.
