Charging Blaze for the first time

Hi everyone, just brought a new Blaze, would be interesting to know how long everyone charged there's for the first time? Just wondering if this has any impact on future battery life..

It should ony take 30 minutes before your Blaze has enough of a charge to be able to add and update.
No you do not want to keep it in the charger longer than necessary. Isually 2 hpurs is more than enough for me.

Charged it fully.. while charging it's possible to tap the tracker, seeing the charging icon in the upper left corner. It's animated when charging displaying how much it's charged. When fully charged the icon isn't animated displaying a full battery icon.

Hello @Fletch88 welcome to the Blaze family! 🙂 Charging your tracker can take up to 2 hours as mentioned by @Rich_Laue but you can see the progress on your tracker as mentioned by @SunsetRunner. Also I would like to share some Tips to maximize the battery life of your Blaze.

Thank you @SunsetRunner @Rich_Laue @AngelaMa so charging overnight is not necessary? Won't help the battery in future? It's been on 3hrs and says fully charged, but I don't want to ruin the battery by not charging fully to start?

In general lithium batteries work better if they are not fully charged or discharged. And kept between 20 and 80%, this goes for ypur phone amd laptop also.
So in the ideal world a short but not complete charge every 2-3 days would be best. Like dur8ng a shower, when you won't be walking anyway. Do i listen to my own words? Does the coblers children wear shoes? I generally wait until i notice the low battery and then, sometime soon, place it on the charger, sometimes i even let it get to 100%.
