Charging Issue

Charged my Blaze yesterday for about three hours, the battery icon was fully green when I took it out of the charger. Put it one about an hour before I went to bed. Woke up this morning and the battery icon is down to one red bar and flashing! How does it go from full charge to NO charge in less than 9 hours? Now I'm off to work where I do most of my walking without it. What would cause it to lose so much power in one night? First charge lasted six days!

Hey there @VirginiaAK. Welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂

As you stated, a full charge on the Blaze should last for at least 6 days so it's totally strange that the battery died in just one night.

I would recommend just to see if it makes any difference, to restart your tracker by pressing the button on the left side and the button on the bottom right side together for about 10 seconds until you see it going off and this will make it restart. Once it's back on, make sure you fully charge the battery and try it out and see if it lasts now the 4-5 days. Something that is really important in this process is syncing your tracker constantly so that your dashboard keeps a record of the battery life and if you'd like, you can enable the All-day sync option from your settings, that way, it will automatically sync every 15-20 minutes. If you notice that the battery dies again before the 4-5 days, feel free to get in touch with the Support Team and I'm sure they will be happy to help you out.

If you need anything else, please let me know!

Hi, I had the same issue however when I put it on charge it stays at the one red bar and its been over an hour. Also, the restart is not working because when I take it out of the charging pod it dies instantly so it won't let me restart it.

It's a little awkward but you can rest while it is in the charger unit (use tweezers or similar) Also is your blaze a new one if so then I'd contact your place of purchase or Fitbit customer service for advice and possible replacement.

The Blaze fitbit seems to last about 3 days, if it shows red I start charging it, and at first only red lines are flashing, but after about 20 minutes its green and almost fully charged. I can not figure this out. I can only say pay attention to when the battery is low and start charging it.

Think I'm done with fitbit; my current Blaze won't charge, have tried cleaning it, saw another user recommended alcohol in the charging holes/posts (but also took the back off); charge hasn't lasted more than 2 days since I got this replacement at 25% off 17 months ago after my first one died 13 months into its' service and past the warranty. It's a high tech watch but one would expect it to function and bugs worked out to improve it.  After reading these forums, seems improvements have not been made.

Mine eventually got funny like that too. Showed full charge after being in the charger for a short time. I just disregarded that and left on the charger for a while.
