Hey everyone!
Now that Blaze is finding its way into the hand of our users, we thought we'd provide a bit more information regarding clock faces, and how you can interact with your Blaze in different ways! Here's the run down of the four default clock faces:
Original:
The time is shown in analog format using an hour-hand and minute-hand. Those dots that go around the circumference of the watch area indicate minutes of the hour. The step icon at the top of the screen is the primary statistic, which is displayed in the progress dial as well (the circle surrounding the clock). The icon at the bottom of the clock is your stat cycle, where you can tap the display to cycle through all of your primary stats for the day as well.
Flare:
Flare consists of 3 main elements: time, date, and activity level. The Flare on the outside will follow the current minutes to the hour while also displaying the activity for the hour. The more you move in the hour, the further out the Flare will extent. Click here for more details.
Zone:
This clock shows the time over a color-changing background that corresponds to your heart rate. The HR Stat, HR zone and date can be toggled with this clock face, meaning you can cycle through and see what you want to see.
Pop:
With Pop, your clock-face will consist of 4 main elements: time, steps, HR, and calories. While your heart rate icon on this screen does not indicate HR zone (the HR circle is always full), both the steps and calories statistic will update to be reflective of your step/calorie burn goal for the day!
We hope this helps. As always, questions and feedback are welcome and appreciated. If you'd like to see new clock faces (or changes to existing ones), please add your vote/comments to this Feature Request with specific changes you'd like to see.

Fudge22 - I may not be necessary for you, and it may not be necessary for me to have a second hand, but for those that need it for their work it is necessary. No one wants to have to wear two watches, just so they can have a second hand.

Correct me if I am wrong but currently no fitbit trackers show the seconds hand. Can fitbit change this? Sure they can. Is it on their top priority? I highly doubt it is. This suggestion has been going around on the forums for over a year. It is very noticeable that they have other priorities.
So, that leaves those select few who require the seconds hand for work purposes to look outside of fitbit for the answer until fitbit decides to dedicate the resources to change it.
So, we have to go and vote for this feature in the feature suggestion section and wait and see if they change their mind. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/More-Watch-Faces-For-Blaze/idi-p/1201352

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the purpose of forums to allow customers to provide input to the company for future products, etc. As I see it, Fitbit should take notice that quite a few people are sour on the clock faces. And why do print ads show clock faces that aren't offered?
Tell me where the middle clock face that's advertised below is amoung the four that are included on the actual watch? .
And the ones that are included look rather cheesy and ill planed. Here my question to you, why wouldn't adding other clock faces to the Blaze be a priority for Fitbit; if that's what customers want? What's the point of a forum if the company is going to ignore input from its customers?

This section of the forum is for community support and help with common issues mostly. The feature requests section is where we go to add input that developers can monitor.
The middle clock face looks almost identical to the Zone watch face.
There are other issues that fitbit is working on addressing right now, such as bug fixes regarding step counting and battery issues. I am sure they have a long list of bugs that they are working. Why would they leave all of those issues on the back burner and implement new watch faces for customers? Software development has priorities and ensuring that the product's bugs are fixedand the device is working as expected is a top priority. Unfortunately it is rather impossible to release software bug free the first time around, especially if there is a deadline involved. Ultimately these bugs will get fixed and once the product is more reliable to all users they will consider items of smaller priority such as adding watch faces.

I understand that we may have over-moderated a bit in this thread, which resulted in the removal of a few posts. The intention was not to censor the discussion, but rather to keep it productive and respectful. The Community is definitely a great place to express feedback or opinions (whether it's good or bad), just make sure to keep it clean and follow the Community Guidelines when posting.
I don't have any news in regard to more clock faces for Blaze, but I do know that our team is aware of the interest. Adding your votes and comments to the feature request is the best way to keep this idea on their radar. I'll certainly give updates if I hear of anything, but until then, we just have to be patient! 🙂

I appreciate your response. I always keep my posts pc. This is frustrating though because whether fitbit wants to admit it or not, the Blaze is their foray into the smart watch arena and it seems like the last thing they considered was the watch faces; which is the first thing you see. While its only my opinion, to me the 4 faces offered look cheesy. I wear my fitbit like a watch. And a neon yellow clock face does not scream professional. Also, the watch was advertised with clock faces that fitbit doesn't offer. What's that about?
I will post on the feature request forum, but it seems pointless. People have been complaining about clock faces since the launch (at least 5 feeds) and so far no response from fitbit. It actually seems like they don't care what customers think. If fitbit doesn't want consumers selling their Blazes on ebay and moving on to Motorala or Apple, maybe they should listen....

@DeuceMitchell I believe you're referring to the Argyle clock face, check out the post here about it.
I work with the Blaze developers, and like I said, they're aware of the interest (even before I showed them the feature request). Patience is key my friend.

thank you Andrew, actually the customers that posted on this thread were the MOST respectful and productive. I was told that my response about my frustration was removed because "there is zero tolerance on public airing of grievances".
i think that we all have posted to the feature request thread...again with no feedback until now from you. I think that we all have been very patient and i know that I would appreciate acting on this sooner than waiting another 3 months.
I wear my blaze daily to work in a professional medical environment with a mesh loop stainless band and different colored frames. I consider more clock faces to be very important especially with a 2nd hand. BTW, hospital nurses and med students are some of fitbit's best customers. it's about 50/50 right now with Apple for their preference. i meet one on one with students and I always use the device as an ice breaker for their interview. thanks again for listening.

Yes, don't buy the Blaze if you want more clock faces - it's a tracker, not a smartwatch.
I'm happy with the ones provided; I'd also be happy if it only had 1 clock face.

I like the general format of the ORIGINAL watch face, but why are the minute marks covered by the number of steps? Just make the "step ring" smaller or larger, but PLEASE leave the minute marks intact (as they appear just after midnight, e.g.)!!

Everyone, let's be realistic here... we can ask for watch faces (which you would commonly expect on a launch product of this type in 2016) but it's been months now. Realistically, we'll likely get another 4 "eh" faces like the 4 we already have in the coming months, but that's potentially it before end of life.
Maybe the delay is because they are developing a customization suite behind the scenes (to compete with the robust system from Garmin and others) but given Fitbit's agility (they are the Blackberry of the fitness tracker space) that's likely months (if not years) off, if it's even on the roadmap at all.
Basically... if customization, second hands, functionality, etc are important to you hop on over to some of the many superior (from a customization perspective) options elsewhere. If you're like me and are locked into the Fitbit echosystem solely due to social groups (although my active Fitbit groups are dropping like flies) just accept that you have a mostly non-customizable product.
There's less worry and stress that way. Fitbit has made a business decision to not have a robust watch face ecosystem at this point (whether intentionally or through delay) so these are the cards we're dealt.
