Anyone having problems with inaccurate reading's using blaze for counting floors.
I normally use stairs 1 - 5 times a day but at end of day blaze records a minimum of 20+a day!
Have tried reset but still not accurate.
Anyone can advise much appreciated

I have the same problem. I walk upto 20 floors at max a day. The application said 74 floors. I was shocked. I saw this is after the new application update.

Yes!!! My new blaze watch is way off the staircase meter. I guess it's counting from curbs on the street but it's not much let alone high enough for it to be counted. Ended today with 107 floors climbed and yes I was on the elliptical but come on, 107 lol. 😂😂😂

Okay.  Here are a couple of reasons for erroneous stair counting:  The Tracker counts floors by the variation in air pressure when climbing a flight of stairs.  The drop in pressure is minute for a flight of stairs. So if you are walking while a low pressure system is moving in, the variation in air pressure can cause the Tracker to record "unearned " flights, occasionally a lot of them! Sometimes someone opening and closing the door rapidly in a well sealed house can cause a change in air pressure.  So if the air pressure dropped sharply while working out on an elliptical--you could pick up some floors.

You can also get some impressive floor readings if you are moving around in a rising elevator.

I tend to use the floor count (in other words, a ten foot rise in elevation for each floor ascended) when determining approximate elevation rise when hiking.  When I get an abnormal floor count, it is usually because a storm has come in.  Some people have reported being in a windstorm will also affect the readings.

I hope this helps answer the question.
