Fitbit estimates my BMR around 1800 with no exercise, pretty much sitting all day and walking around every 30 mins to an hour at my job. On days I'm doing strength training, it says I burn anywhere between 3,000 - 3700 calories. I do Intermittent Fasting till noon every day mon-fri. I eat pretty healthy and only count how much food I eat by palm size portions. I eat two large meals a day. I feel like it's miscalculating my calories burned. I'll lose a significant amount of weight in a week or two from IF and already being in a calorific deficit but If my math serves me correctly, I shouldn't be stalling in terms of weight after only a week and a half to two weeks unless I'm hitting a plateau and my metabolism is adapting to how I eat. Unless I'm just misinformed. A friend of mine who runs and does sprint training even claims that my calorie burn for only strength training 3 days a week is way too high. I mean that's nearly a thousand calories extra but then again my workout sessions are no shorter than an hour. I don't hardly do any cardio either.
I need to start taking measurements to gauge more accurately.
Thanks all,

Hi there @Makthekid91, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂
For a more accurate calorie tracking, I can recommend making sure that your personal information as weight, age, height, etc. is correctly entered. Also make sure that whenever you eat, you're logging all your food in order for your dashboard to be able to determine your calorie expenditure for each day the most accurate possible way. If you're not on a food plan currently, you can start one. For more information on how the Food plans work, click here.
