I replaced my old Blaze with a new one, last month. I noticed that it seemed off with distance. Today I decided to track with phone gps, as well as the trip recorder on my car. After nearly having a stroke, walking for an hour along the gulf coast :).... my Blaze had recorded 2.07 miles. The exact mileage from point to point showed as 4.1 with phone ( note8) and the trip recorder. I’ve reset the device before, when I first thought it was inaccurate. My numbers are much further off than most posts I see. I tried manually adjusting my stride length ( it then started congratulating me for using the elliptical, instead of walking...which I never use) I even tried adjusting my height. Most of all it becomes discouraging when I think I’m working hard, and my tracker shows otherwise. I’m glad I decided to track with other devices. Please help.
Thank you,
Jennifer

May I ask if you where using the connected GPS when tracking your walk on the golf course?
If your stride was not consistent, this would explain the distance being off.

Rich,
I was on the Gulf Coast, walking the beach sidewalk, flat from end to end. I thought only the new units had active GPS, so no, no connected GPS.

Well I would suggest multiplying your current stride setting by 1.98
