Double tap issue

Hi,
I've just got my new Blaze today, so far I'm loving it... The screen is wonderful.
However although I'm finding the auto 'quick view' works well when I turn my wrist, the double tap feature doesn't.
If I've not looked at the screen for a while then it can often take 6/7 taps for the screen to come on. But after it's been on for the 8 seconds or so then it reacts well to the single tap straight afterwards.
Strange?
Or am I stupid, missing something?
I've tried gentle tapping, firmer tapping, quick, slow, corners, edges, centre but still it can take 6/7 taps.
I hope it's not an issue.

Wow, you learn something new every day! I didn't even know that was a feature. Mine doesn't seem to work overly well, either. It's a little touchy. You can, however, just hit the left button to turn the screen, on, too.
