I absolutely LOVE to wear my Fitbit Blaze when I am working out. I thrive off of the data collected and it really motivates me to be able to see my current stats on the screen while I am working out.

My problem is that I don't really enjoy wearing it all day long. The only problem I have is the size. I would prefer wearing something more the size of the Alta during the day. I am considering the Alta, Alta HR, and the Flex 2 (Flex 2 would be worn alongside my regular watch because I can't live without a watch on at all times). My only concern with which device to choose is getting the most accurate measure of my calorie burn during the day. I don't really care about step-count as much as calorie burn because I am trying to lose weight so, ya know....calories in vs. calories out and all. I am just curious to know if anyone else does this. And if so, which tracker do you use during the day/times that you are not working out?

P.S. - Fitbit, if you need any ideas....a waterproof Alta with option to start workouts manually from the device (as on the Charge 2 and Blaze) would be my perfect device. Just sayin. Smiley HappyHeart

It's great to see you here @leighlee05 and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

If you are not sure about what tracker would you like to have, I recommend taking a look at this page, where you will be able to compare all of our trackers and select the one that you like the most. But personally, I would go for a Charge 2.

@leighlee05 for your second tracker i woild by the one your comfortable with that has heartrate.

As for adding manual start to the Alta, would that not make it a Charge 2?

It would make it similar. I just like the slimmer profile of the Alta and Alta HR. I did actually use the Charge 2 for a long time and mostly loved it. May consider the Charge 2 for my everyday tracker and return the Blaze altogether. That way I won't have to change it  out at all. I like the screen on the Blaze, but wish the band wasn't as wide. Decisions, decisions. Smiley Very Happy

I have the blaze, but I swapped out the band to the thinner one.  And I love it!

but it is still wider than the alta.

This is the one i purchased; it also comes in leather:

I love my blaze b/c it looks really professional at work.

This is actually my PERFECT solution to my problem! I LOVE my Blaze too because it actually saves the text messages if you want to look at them later where the Alta and Charge 2 don't. With those you completely miss the message if you aren't able to look right when it buzzes. But the Blaze is like my perfect tracker...except for the band. This is an excellent idea! I'm ordering one ASAP. Thanks!!!
