Use workout mode. Then set up a custom Exercise for it. Then when it syncs you can rename it

Not sure where I am suppose to go to do this. Do I go to fitbit.com, sign in and go to workout mode? Then rename a workout? How does it really measure this activity since it would be different than running, etc?

Let's go to the help site. You could also vote on this suggestion

My question, why ask about a specific type of exercise. But have no mention of the type in the title.

On my Ipad when I go to edit the exercise it WILL NOT let me edit the title which is Workout.  You know it is a shame the a 3rd party app does what Fitbit should do.  I guess Fitbit is NOT the “World Class” company that it is made to be.  I can use MyMapFitness and it has exercises for sit-ups and Nordic Track exerciseing and you would think Fitbit could do the same.  Shame on you Fitbit.  Guess I should have purchased my tracker from another company.

Hello @S62242.. If you used the workout mode on the tracker you should be able to edit the title. Are you using one of the 4 versions of the Fitbit app, which version? Or are you on the web interface through the phones browser? Screenshot_20180101-040545.jpg

Tap the edit pencil.

I am on the LATEST version of Fitbit and IOS. I tried a test with workout and it showed up in my Fitbit app. There I went to edit and it ONLY lets me edit the data and not the title. Like I said before, it is a shame that 3rd party apps are trying to keep up and Fitbit is setting on the sidelines thinking they have already won the game. I am getting very upset with Fitbit as a company but I cannot go back now because I have too much money invested. Guess I will forewarn my friends that they should see who is rated #2 on exercise trackers and go with them. I do not think Fitbit would be rated #1 if people used the tracker to its fullest. They would find the same shortfalls.

Interesting you should only be able to edit the title. The ability to edit the data is still under consideration

Right in the help section it states:  You can use the Fitbit app to edit or delete any activity in your exercise history. Depending on the exercise, you can choose to edit the start and end times, distance covered, and calories burned.

So it says you can ONLY edit the start and end times, distance covered and calories burned.

You know I keep getting all this feedback from users, when will Fitbit app techs discuss these issues and fix them.  There are OVER 1,600 replies telling Fitbit to add Nordiac Track to their app and they STILL have NOT DONE IT.  Commenting to these people in my opionin is a waste of time.
