I dont have a Surge (I have a Blaze, which has its own problems, believe me) but my boss, a co-worker, and a friend of mine all had this problem too. Clearly it's a design flaw.

I'm not sure why you did that, as we are discussing a design flaw in the Surge, and as I've already said, I do not own a Surge.
My issues with the Blaze have nothing to do with the band - my issues are purely software related, and a quick glance at the Blaze board shows that a number of users have the same issues.
My boss, co-worker, and friend have all already contacted Fitbit support regarding their band issues, and the best all three of them got was an offer for 25% off another Surge, which satisfied no one.
I appreciate your offer to help, but I think there are a lot of other users who have more pressing and significant issues than mine.
