A warm welcome to the Community @Molehole! The heart rate will change during the day if you're moving or doing a different activity. Usually, when I'm sitting at my desk my heart rate reading will maintain between 70 to 80.
When the setting is automatically, then you need to make sure that you're wearing your Blaze properly so it can give you heart rate readings. You may want to check this article What should I know about my heart rate data?.
Additionally, you can also try restarting your tracker.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

Hi,
I am having the same problem as @Molehole. Looking on my Fitbit app, it has been happening for a while now.
I have restarted numerous times.
