Fitbit App on Android phone popping up continuously

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

This has been addressed in the forum and the post states "Solved", however there is one item in the fix that needs explaining.

The fix is to go to "Reset App Preferences option" and reset all apps on phone.

What does this do to all of the other apps?

Does this fix correct the issue on the Fitbit app but then causes issues with other apps on the phone?

Hi there @mjaklrsav, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're having problems with your Fitbit app doing this on your Android phone.  Thanks a lot for all the research you've made. I'd like to help you out.

Now, I'd like you to share more details on what is exactly happening. I'm not really familiar with the issue, so if you could please provide more details, I'll be happy to take a look for you.

I'll be looking forward for your reply!

I have a Blaze fitbit with firmware 17.8.402.1 with app version 2.84 last updated 12/17/2018 on my LG G6 with Android 8.0.0.
I run the fitbit app blue tooth 24/7 and most of the time when I open any app the Fitbit app pops up and overtakes any screen.
Actually and typical event:

At a Christmas party with family and some one suggest a group picture.I volunteer to take the picture.Group is gather and ready, I turn on my phone and click on the photo app.Just as I focus and try to take the picture, the Fitbit app pops up and i have to cancel out by pressing the button a couple of times.
As you may imagine,  I am extremely annoyed, the group is annoyed and then I finally take the photo 5-10 seconds after i almost took the pic.
This happens to any app. Just trying to make a simple call becomes annoying.
This doesn't happen every time i turn on the phone but 12-15 times a day.

I have not tried the "Reset App Preferences option" and I am waiting for information on what this can cause to the other apps.

Thanks,Mike
