Fitbit Blaze Gun Metal colour reaction to salt water.

Hello guys, my name is Jay and one of the sports I do is Dragonboat paddling in a saltwater beach. 

I have the Gun Metal edition. My concern is, will the colour on the buckle tarnish if I keep wearing this band? I wore it one time this weekend and it's of no problem at this pointe. But I'm worried of discolouration over time since it will always be submerged in salt water on weekends. 

Should I just buy a regular one for my water paddling practices? 

Any information will help.

You know the Blaze is not waterproof, of course.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am already aware that it is not waterproof, but water resistant only. I do not plan to go diving in deep waters with it but rather just paddling in a boat. 

My concerns are the discolouration of the Gun Metal buckle and frame since they will be submerged in saltwater everytime I put my outer arm in the water during Dragonboat paddling practices 🙂

It isn't even water resistant, it is splash proof. Sounds like you got away with it so far but honestly you are going to be finding yourself with a broken Blaze pretty soon if it is going underwater!
