Fitbit Blaze Running mode tracking problem

When I got this watch a couple of months ago it worked flawlessly and continued to until the past few weeks.  In "run" mode it has started doubling my the miles I've run while cutting my pace nearly in half.  The syncing NO run data afterward... it's basically become as useful for training as a stop watch!  I've tried restarting my phone to know avail.  Is there an easy one time fix for this problem?

It's great to see you around @DanJoseph and thanks for troubleshooting this inconvenience by yourself. Have you checked if your Fitbit app is updated? If you haven't, I recommend following the instructions provided in the How do I update my Android Fitbit app? post.
