Fitbit Blaze will not sync after initial setup update.

My fitbit started the initial update once I started the setup. The bar went across the screen and took about 20 minutes to progress and finish. When it seemed to finish my blaze restarted. But once it booted up it will no longer sync. I only have access to basic setting on the blaze itself and cannot access it from my Windows 10 laptop or my android 6 moto G. I cannot cahnge the clock face or anything else and the clock is showing the wrong time, roughly 3.5 hours ahead and the date shows as Janurary 1st. I have restarted the fitbit and tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on both my devices. Is there any way to factory reset my fitbit so I can try the update again? Any thing would be a big help since I am ready to pull my hair out or return this thing.

I currently own Iphone4, so i figured I would be able to do the start up process via my Mac book. Turns out at least when using a mac book, the Fitbit Blaze will require a dongle to connect. Im glad with the help of my awesome best buy mobile manager, we were able to figure this out.

I was able to fix this after the following:

1. Charge your phone so it's at least 50%. Not sure why but my phone sitting on 25% just didn't sync or work

2. Charge your FitBit so it's 100%. May not be needed but seemed to change everything when it was fully charged.

3. If you've already linked your FitBit, de-line it.

4. Un-install FitBit app.

5. Reset your FitBit Blaze (left and lower right button until FitBit logo shows)

6. Re-install FitBit app.

7. Re-add FitBit blaze.

8. Your device may mention Bluetooth problems and show a message to cancel and try again. Choose this option. The one time this message popped up, my FitBit began working. This never showed before when linking the first time.

9. Hopefully from this point your FitBit will work and sync. If not, simply try again. It EVENTUALLY works.

Note: When you sync your FitBit, be paitent. It doesn't take seconds, it actually takes a few minutes.

Hopefully the FitBit dev team will eventually fix this annoyance.

I have an IPhone 6 and also cannot get my new blaze to sync, it's incredibly frustrating and at this point I will just have to return the blaze for my sanity. Amazing that such a problem exists

I too have a Mac AirBook with OS X Capitan as the system it runs on.  Cannot sync.  Sync'd for a while when first purchased.  USB plug in did work for a while, now doesn't.  I also uninstalled and re-installed Fit Bit Connect.  Now a screen comes up requiring a dongle which I do not have as I have the USB cord which is supposed to do the same thing.  I am stumped.

I also have a Mac Book.  My Blaze did originally sync when used the USB cord, now it doesn't.  I do not have a dongle which a screen says I must use now.  This is very frustrating.

My Blaze initially did sync, both by holding close to the screen of my Mac Book Air and by plugging in the USB cord.  Then, it stopped.  I uninstalled and reinstalled Fitbit Connect and did the new update that came with the reinstall.  Now, when I go to the main menu and want to sync, the plug-in dongle screen comes up without any other options, such as plug in USB cord.  I do not have a dongle as it did not come with the Blaze.  I have a Mac Book Air and run the OS X El Capitan system on it.  Tell me there is a fix for this!!!

I want to purchase a Fitbit Blaze, but i don't have a mobile phone, tablet or other devices.  I only have a Dell pc currently with Windows 7 Home Premium on it.  I'm debating on upgrading to Windows 10, but am concerned if I'll have problems once I do that.

How will I be able to use the Blaze?

Syncing Blaze Connect works well on Windows 10 machine.  I had been trying to get it to work on my Windows 8.1 machine for days.  Found buried in the Help to try a Windows 10 computer.  Wish that information was given when looking at the specs for Blaze as I would have connected to my Win10 machine  intially and not spent all that time trying to get it to work on Win8.1 machine.

I'm having the same syncing problem - but I have a Samsung S5 (no problems listed on the website with my phone).  I have turned off the Bluetooth, closed the app, uninstalled the app, everything I have found on the website to correct the problem.  I have tried to restart the tracker, but when I use the buttons directed to restart - it never restarts, it only shows that I have no notifications.  I really love this Blaze, I just want to be able to sync it.  My app on the phone says the tracker cannot be found.  The bluetooth says paired and my phone recognizes the Blaze.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

There is two ways to restart the Blaze.

A forced restart by pressing both the left and lower right buttons simultaneously for 12 seconds.

Second way is to swipe over to the settingsthe settings screen, tap it, scroll down, then tap Shutdown, tyen confirm.

Windows 10 Phone would not initiate the initial update.

This even after it was paired.

My solution, used the FitBit app on a cheap Android phone.

I then went right back to my WIndows 10 phone and I'm in the game.

I hope this post helps.

Hello @kathywa47@Pandora333 @Curling @CB2016 and @Saaaypants21! It's great to have you here. @kathywa47 I'm glad to know your Blaze is syncing with your Android phone. @CB2016 where you able to restart your tracker? @Pandora333 For users with Windows 8.1, the Blaze tracker is optimized for Windows 10. I highly suggest using a mobile device, tablet, or a computer with Windows 10 installed for Blaze to work properly. @Rich_Laue thanks for your amazing cooperation! 😉
