Fitbit Blaze won't accept set up number

I purchased a new fitbit blaze and have tried setting it up with an android device. Every time I enter the number on the screen, my phone says that the number has been entered incorrectly despite it being the right number.

It's great to have you here @ruairiolone! Thanks for the details that you've mentioned. I would like you to restart your Blaze and make sure you're following this set up procedure. Also, you may want to force quit  your app and restart your phone.
