I went to the top of the page and typed ipod into the search bar. Found this post, the other thing you can do is go to the compatable list and check.
Now if the tracker is receiving motifs Atkins from a phone, and you don't want this, go to the phones Bluetooth settings and remove the Fitbit device.

Allow me to help you @AmberJayne! As @Rich_Laue mentioned in all those helpful links. The only supported iPod touch that we have are iPod Touch 5th generation and 6th generation.
You may want to advice your friend that he can always use the computer to sync the tracker's information. He just need to plug the Dongle in the computer and everytime he's near it will sync automatically.
