Hi! I'm wondering what everyone's experiences have been with the accuracy of the blaze's resting heart rate readings? I owned a basis peak before it was recalled earlier this summer, and it reported resting heart rates for me of just under 80 fairly consistently for as long as I can remember. When I've compared the basis readings to a chest strap polar heart rate moniter they've been fairly consistent with each other, and my heart rate has always been weirdly high. I just bought a blaze on aug 14, and it gave me a resting heart rate of about 80 the first couple days I owned it, and has steadily dropped since. It says my resting heart rate has been 66 for the last couple days. Granted I've been sleeping more and haven't been as stressed as I am during the school year, but this just seems like such a sudden drop over 3 weeks after such consistent readings for a long time! I thought the problem was with HR tracking during exercise. Has anyone had similar weird readings?

@AlyZ, to be quite honest, the drop doesn't sound all that out of line. I have a Fitbit Surge with the same heart rate monitor and software and mine is pretty much dead on accurate.
What does your heart rate plot look like when you're sleeping? If it is down in the high 50s or low 60s then I'd say your current RHR reading of 66 is probably spot on.

@AlyZ With that drop I would think Fitbit might be fooling you, I'd compare to your Polar chest strap to find out.
80 isn't weirdly high, normal resting heart rate for adults is 60-100, even world class athletes have resting heart rates in 60s and 70s:
