When the jets ar turned on,  who knows how much water pressure the watch is being exposed to.  

Yes I would not trust a hot tub either. Nobody ever claimed the watch was waterproof.

Yeah, it's not waterproof or "swim proof" so my bad.  The jets weren't on though, FYI.

I've found out I can shower with it on but other than that I have not
submersed it fully again since the first time. And yes it's still working
and it's the same one that took a dip last year when I posted this thread

Great news. It just started working again.  The buttons all work!  After about 5 days it all came back..  The Fit Bit Blaze is tough!!!!  I'm so happy!

Lol...water resistant and waterproof is not the same. It just like the go pros. Water resistant but you wouldn’t throw it in the oil without putting it in a waterproof case. That’s the difference.

@Biznik true the two terms are not the same. Legally there is a definition for water resistant when it comes to wrist watches. There is no legal definition for the term waterproof when it comes to wrist watches. Back in the 1960's it was filled that no mechanical watch could be labeled as waterproof. This is because at some depth there will be a failure. 

So yes since their is no definition that will stand up in court for the term waterproof it is irresponsible of anyone to call a watch waterproof 

Even when it comes to cases they can not be certified as waterproof. .

Waterproof might be acceptable for clothing but then I've noticed some clothing manufacturers still use the term water resistant.
