Fitbit is not accurate

I had a Fitbit Alta, I would go on 5 mile walks through my Fitbit app I would track my walk. When I would get home it would rarely sync my walk that was tracked through exercise on my Fitbit app. It would only pick up my auto walk through my actual Fitbit. So I called support. To make a long story short they couldn't help me after resetting and deleting my mobiletrAk, and making me test for 100 steps. So I upgraded my Fitbit to the blaze because it can connect to the GPS on your phone. So yesterday I went on a 5.10 walk which the exact same walk, same route last week through my phone was 5.62. So today I turned on the track my walk through my Fitbit app, and I turned on the track my walk through my Fitbit blaze which is supposed to connect to my GPS on my phone. Well I just got home and my Fitbit app says I walked 6.18 miles but my Fitbit blaze says I walked 5.84 miles. I cannot see the rest of the stats because the walk from my app will not sync. How does this happen if it is connected to my phone? Shouldn't they have the same numbers? They have the exact same route, and the same time. And which one is correct? Because as I see it why the hell did I just spend over $350 for two inaccurate devices.

A couple questiond

Is the Blaze. Bs Alta setup to the same account?

Are you using the walk or run on the Blaze?? They should be seperatr accounts.

Have you set the stride on the Alta and Blaze account.

As for as the auto tracking, this gets disabled when using the manual tracking function of the app, and would not expect it to show up.

Try going for a walk without starting the trackimg on the phone app.

No, I removed the Alta, now my daughter is using it with her own account.
From what I have read, they determine your stride length automatically when you go for a run.
And I have tried it with, and without starting the app. For example, last week I went on a 5.62 walk only tracking through my Alta. This week, because I upgraded to the blaze over the weekend, I walked the exact same walk, but it's only 5.10 miles.

The Blaze while in run tea king mode with the GPS will automaticly determine your running stride.

With the other tracker a it uses your age, height, gender, and who knows what else, but sets the stride on whY would be considered B average person.. Unforgivable when it comes to average there is no person that fits the description.
