Fitbit keeps losing its charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I hope someone can help me with this issue, I was given a Fitbit Blaze in May of this year and since then I have had to replace it 3 times with a new one, I took it back to where it was purchased from each time which was Officeworks in Albury, NSW. It would be okay for a couple of weeks then would start to lose its charge. I thought they were suppose to last for 4-5 days at least. I am now on holidays and its started to lose its charge again and there is no where around here to take it too, plus my paperwork for this is at home. Please help me with any suggestions, thank you Sandra.

Hi @Sandy12

Make sure (if not already doing) to clean the tracker / contact points once in a while as dirty charging points (from sweat..) can cause the tracker not charging optimally.

Check out the Fitbit Help Article:

How to clean the tracker? YouTube Video (By Craig) (for the flex but similiar for the Blaze)

Thank you Mystique,

I will try that to see if it helps, but my fitbit appears to charge fully but doesn't hold its charge.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Sandy12! 🙂 It's great to have you here. The battery life of your Blaze depends on  your interaction with the tracker. I would like to share some Tips to maximize the battery life of your Blaze. If your battery is draining faster than expected after reviewing the tip on the post,  reach out to our support team, they can review your tracker's back-end information and provide you personalized troubleshoot. @SunsetRunner thanks for your amazing cooperation, it's great to see you around Cat LOL

Thank you Angelafitbit, I reviewed the link on how to maximize the battery
life, but I don't have any of those extra things turned on. I contacted the
fitbit support team yesterday following the link Mystique gave me. I tried
to explain more fully what was happening with my fitbit but I haven't as
yet received a reply on there support page. I will keep checking. Thank
you, Sandy12

I would aldo suggest to not let the battery die, snd take it off of the charger as soon after it is chsrged.

Hi, thank you.
I have taken it off the charger after a couple of hours when it is fully
charged and also overnight for about 8 hours either way hasn't made any
difference to it losing its charge . I will have to persevere with it while
on holidays and charge it every 24hrs when its suppose to last for 4-5
days.

Hi there @Sandy12. Good to see you in the Community!

If after fully charging your tracker it lasts less than 4 days, feel free to get in touch with the Support Team who will be happy to take a look into it and get you back on track.

Hope this helps and let me know if you need anything else!
