If your ceiling is high enough, my first thought would be to check the step count before and after walking up the stairs. Did the tracker count them all?

@Rich_Laue I wanted to step in and let you guys know that speed is a key element for floors to count as well. @LesDoro, your Fitbit tracker registers a floor when it detects continuous motion in a certain velocity combined with an elevation gain of about 10 feet.
