Frustrated with Blaze

I am seriously about to return this thing!!  I've had it for a little over 24 hours and it's been nothing but frustration.  First off, unlike some people, I DON'T want it to sync with my phone...it eats up too much battery life.  Besides, I can see what I need on the watch.  However, the only way to do that completely is to remove the app from my phone.  If I do that, then I won't get phone message notifications.  Smiley Tongue  But I disable the bluetooth, then everything else I have bluetoothed is disabled.  But, even  even when I do disable the bluetooth, the Blaze has a mind of it's own and re-syncs with my phone.   This makes it impossible to sync with my desktop.  Which brings me to my next issue.  I hate the analog watch face.  But, when I try and switch it, I get nothing!  Can someone help me please?!Smiley Sad

I'm done!!  I just uninstalled and reinstalled everything to try and get the thing to sync to my computer and now I keep getting a message saying I need to turn on bluetooth on my computer in order for the Blaze to sync!!  I've never been this frustrated with something this small in my life.  My head hurts and I just wasted an hour of my life trying to get this darn thing to work.....

@Darkshadow Sorry for your frustration. It HAS to have a Bluetooth connection to do what it needs to do.  If you don't have a Bluetooth enabled computer then the phone is the only other option. You can set the options so that it doesn't continuously sync.  I have mine setup so that it only syncs when I open the app on my phone (which I do several times a day).  With most of the options shutoff, I have found very little battery drain from my phone.  Syncing, updating, changing watch faces or allarms are all done via the sync process.  Plus if it is not allowed to sync the tracker will only hold 7 days of info before overwriting.

I have all day sync and always connected enabled. I am on my 6th day since the initial charge. I do not wear the Blaze while sleeping, so I do a shutdown to conserve battery.

P.S. I still get over 2 days use of my phone before charging. I haven't noticed any measurable drain from the app. Galaxy Note 5.

To shut down would be totally be up to you.
The HR lights will turn offwhen the Blaze is removed from the arm, i woild think they are the biggest drain.

Eagle1, I do have a bluetooth connection on my desktop...I have a wireless keyboard, trackpad, mouse and numeric keypad all connected with no issues at all.  My biggest probelm now is that my computer won't even recognize the Blaze.

On the Blaze itself go to settings and enable Bluetooth Classic. I have a Mac and once I made this selection my computer saw the Blaze. The Blaze uses Low Energy Bluetooth to connect to your phone and most computers don't have that capability so you have to enable Bluetooth classic on your Blaze. Let me know if this works.

@Darkshadow Can you just clarify/confirm that your desktop peripherals are connected directly to your desktop bluetooth and not to usb dongles provided with the peripherals?

Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) are different beasts though. Your computer may not support BLE and that's what the newer Fitbit devices require

@Darkshadow most wireless keyboards mouses etc are not Bluetooth and require their own proprietary dongle. Now a true BT keyboard, i believe you do have, uses what Fitbit calls Bluetooth Classic, as @big9erfan states the tracker needs Bluetooth Low Energy.
This will require a computer or laptop witth BTLE and it will need to be running Win10 and the Fitbit App. This is the only app that can use a geneeic BTLE interface. The Fitbit Connect will need to use Fitbits proprietary dongle, which is the same foe all Fitbits.
My understanding is that there is a downloadanle driver that can be installed yo get Fitbit connect to sync through a canle.
Since there has been no mention of the conputer system, general tips is the best we can give.

I did set my Blaze to Bluetooth classic and my computer's Bluetooth discovered it right away. Try this and let me know
