I have a Fitbit Blaze and can't seem to get accurate readings for my walks.  I take my phone with me and use the Map my walk app and my blaze and the app are always way off.  Went on a 7 mile walk today, my blaze only recorded 9600 steps but my app recorded 15000.  Why is there such a discrepancy?  Any suggestions?

Are you holding on to anything. When holding on it will not count steps. Needs to see the arms swinging.
