I've not come across this before on the Blaze but I have seen a couple of posts that describe a similar situation on the Surge. Although not conclusive they suggested that the cause may have been extreme heat. Could this be the issue here?
Whatever the cause, it it's not going away then it's worth trying a restart using the procedure below. It does no harm and can sort out all sorts of issues:

As @SteveH mentioned I haven't heard of this issue with the Blaze but @Rich_Laue mentioned that it might be caused by a high temperature. @Rhonda0402 I suggest your friend to contact support, they can review the tracker's back-end information and provide you personalized troubleshoot.
