HR not working

HR suddenly stopped working on my Fitbit Blaze after only 5 months. The green lights stopped flashing altogether. They used to flicker all the time. I tried switching the HR on the app from auto to on but no luck. Because it won’t read the HR it doesn’t count any excercise as activity minutes unless I am accumulating steps. This is very frustrating. After reading various comments it looks like the FitBit Blaze only lasts about 5mths to a year. For $200 I expect more. What can I do about this?
