So i been having a weird issue as of a couple days ago, My Fitbit Blaze has always been set to Auto for the heart rate and its worked fine but i noticed that yesterday morning when i got into work and i was checking my stats that it didn't record my sleep. I tried to troubleshoot what could be the issue and i noticed that when i took my watch off that the lights on the bottom weren't firing rapidly like they normally do but instead both lights were firing in sync with each other in a 1 sec interval which was strange so i went into settings and changed it to On and after syncing they starting firing like normal but when i changed it back to Auto the same issue came back does anyone know why this is happening or has experienced the same issue?

As far as I know, that's what it does when it detects motion in Auto mode. If you put it down, the lights go off. When you move it you get a few slow flashes. It's effectively looking for some blood flow data from an arm to lock onto.
That won't relate to sleep records since sleep isn't driven by blood flow/heart rate but by movement.
