Heart rate and sleep tracker not working

Hello, 2 days ago my heart rate tracker and sleep tracker on my blaze stopped working. The settings are correct and I've tried cleaning the sensor on the back of my blaze. Cleaning it did not help. Any ideas about how I can get these functions to work properly again?

Hi there @Shawnmgold. Welcome to the Community Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry that your HR tracker is not working and that you're not being able to record your sleep.

Heart rate goes by the hand with sleep tracking, so if your heart rate is not working, it's very likely for the sleep tracking not to work properly.

I'd like to know... Are the green lights on the back of the tracker not flashing? Have you tried to restart your tracker? If not, you can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot and this could help getting the HR monitor to work properly again.

Try that out and let me know how it goes!

Hello Fitbit, I've just noticed that my heartrate and sleep tracker are also not working.  I'm not sure as to when it quit, but in looking at my sleep log, there is nothing from  July 9-15 to now.  I have just reset my Blaze (per your above suggestion) and the green sensor lights are working as well.  Please advise how else one can proceed to get this working again.

Hey there @Eyckedia, great to see you in the Fitbit Community  Forums! 🙂

I'm sorry you're also having problems with your tracker 😕

I'd like to know if it is specifically with Sleep not being recorded accurately or if you're also having problems with your heart rate monitor not responding. If it is both, sleep might not be tracked as a consequence of the heart rate not working as your tracker relies on heart rate to detect your sleep.

Have you by any chance tried to restart your tracker? If not, you can easily do this by pressing the left and lower right buttons for 10-12 seconds. This will make your tracker to reboot and then, see if the green lights on the heart rate monitor are working or not.

Let me know if you need more help with this and provide as much detail as possible.

I have the same issue as many others. My HR and therefore sleep tracking are not working. I did the reboot on my Fitbit Blaze & this does not solve the issue.

Please advise...

Thank you!

I have only had my Blaze for a week and I noticed most recently that even when off my wrist, bpm shows 70 bpm until bpm goes away altogether a few minutes later until it is put back on. It automatically starts at 70 bpm and at times rapidly increases to over 120+ for no reason. I have an anxiety disorder that is well managed but the above normal bpm is creating negative feedback loop. The bpm doesn't match that seen on exercise equipment and honestly cannot accurately reflect my real bpm if it automatically starts at a default bpm. My bpm exercising can be the same as a resting bpm shown on Blaze. This also impacts rem accuracy and I need my data to be acurate for health monitoring purposes. My Blaze doesn't notify of text messages or calls despite settings confirming it should. I have tiny wrists and maybe need to wear higher up on arm than my old Flex for bpm, but did charge it and the lack of text/call notifications makes me think the device is just off/not working right. Also, flights of stairs climbed in day is always wrong because I count them

My blaze is also doing the same thing. It also is not keeping track of the steps per hour. I do a lot of walking for my job and that is a goal that easily reachable when I know where I'm at. It is getting very frustrating. I have also restarted, shutdown my fit bit along with uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Please help.

I ended up talking with customer service.  They have sent me a replacement because I was in my 1 year time frame and under warranty.
