Whenever I do something as simple as go on a low impact walk, the heart rate on my Blaze jumps up to 80+, even at times jumping up to 100+. This isn't even close to my heart rate as it generally beats at 60-65 BPM while walking (I have stopped and manually checked my pulse several times since this has started happening). I've moved the tracker up and down my arm and I've adjusted the tightness of the band from loose to tight and everywhere in between. The only time it seems to be accurate is when I'm resting or when I'm running, but that's it. It's quite annoying because it screws up how many calories I burn throughout the day. I've had several replacement Blazes and they all have the same issue. Has anyone else experienced this? I've thought about upgrading to the Ionic, but I don't want to throw down $300 just to have the heart rate be just as inaccurate and inconsistent.

On my third Blaze also. Under one year warranty so they keep replacing it everytime I explain my issues. VERY disappointed in this product for the price. Would just like it to track my heart rate during my workouts.

That's EXACTLY the boat I'm in, as well. It's incredibly frustrating.

Unlike they make it seem, the HR technology doesn't really monitor your HR continuously. It takes samples here and there and estimates the rest. You can see this for yourself. Sit down and let your HR come down to a lower rate. Switch to the Today view so you can see your HR and don't let the screen shut off. Hold the Blaze in a way that it couldn't possibly see your skin to read your HR, then start moving it quickly in a motion that simulates running. You'll notice that your supposed HR will start climbing significantly even though there is no way it could be reading anything through the HR sensor on it. After several minutes, it may show the double dashes ( -- ) indicating it has no reading, but you'll be surprised how much it raises and lowers your HR purely based on movement. I've done this experiment with the Blaze, the Charge 2 and Charge HR and they all exhibit the same behavior. So if I had to guess, I'd bet the Ionic is the same, however, it does have a new type of HR sensor, so maybe it will be more accurate.

Welcome to the Forums @xlevix10, thanks for troubleshooting this by yourself, @HogDawg and @MagicMiguel for stopping by.
If your tracker is not being accurate while registering your heart rate, I recommend taking a look at this post, where you will be able to see some things that might be affecting this reading and some tips to improve it. Also, you can try and restart your Blaze.
Let me know the outcome.
