Best Answer@Christine1622, have you contacted customer support? If not I would give them a call, it’s possible your blaze is having some problems.
Best AnswerThere are dozens of folks on here with the same problem. Me included. The Fitbit tracks my HR very accurately when not moving about so resting numbers are pretty much spot on. It’s a complete waste of time though if you want to exercise. Even if I go flat out in the gym with the Polar heart strap reporting 160+bpm, the fit bit rarely registers anything over 80bpm. Kind of makes the whole thing a pointless purchase. I’ve tried all the suggestions about moving it up the arm, stopping momentarily, loosening it etc, but its just rubbish when the good old heart is working hard. Interestingly I tried my sons un-branded £29 heat rate watch thing for a few days that we got from amazon as I thought it might be me and it works flawlessly registering high bpm. Oh and it didn’t give me a rash either whereas the Fitbit gave me a nasty case of eczema so ended up buying a non Fitbit strap. Currently looking at alternative watches. Disappointed.
Best Answer@fishern, I have had the same problem. I have a low pulse. I changed some settings under the heart rate zone. You can do a custom zone for the lower and upper bpm and set the max bpm. This might help with your workout. See link below from Fitbit website they have some information about heart rate zone’s.
