Hello @WayneRaney, not knowing what phone OS doesnt make it easy to help.

I find when the music control doesnt work, so does other Bluetooth input devices, such as keyboards and selfie sticks. For me i simply restart my phone, no big deal since an Android phone still needs to be restarted at least once a week or it will have performance issues. Currently i go 1-3 weeks between music control issues, and usually have them when i have failed to restart the phone recently.

My mobile is Sony xperia X compact and I was using Spotify music. Connects
for 3_4 seconds and then reverts back to connecting..

I'm experiencing the same issue with a Sony experia xz.  Works perfectly for my partners samsung galaxy s6,  but I've tried everything to get it to work on my mine but with no joy.  HELP!!!!

Must be the Sony because my fitbit connects to my kindle and other mobi phones and i can control the music from my fitbit when connected to those devices ... just the sony mobile refuses the music option.. connects ok to for notifications etc via bluetooth but hell it wont play ball for the music... Typical always something!!

Hello @WayneRaney and @Foxf, good to have you here in the Fitbit Community! Sony devices are limited in compatibility. My first recommendation is to review our list of compatible devices to make sure your phone model is capable to support all the features.

I too have a Xperia and is not capable to work with music control despite it syncs perfectly with my tracker.

It wont hurt to try the following steps, to address this issue:

If you see "Not connected" or "Connecting..." on your Blaze, test whether you're able to control music after trying each of these tips:

  • On your mobile device, go to Settings > Bluetooth and make sure to select Blaze (iOS users) or Blaze (Classic) (Android and Windows users). If you no longer see your tracker yon the list, you need to set it up music control again.
  • Confirm that your mobile device is within about 20 feet of your Blaze.
  • In the settings on your Blaze, confirm that Bluetooth Classic is set to "Pair."
  • Try switching Bluetooth Classic from "Pair" to something else and then back to "Pair."
  • Restart your mobile device.

Hope this helps, see you around.
