Hiking with a Blaze

Hey guys.

How should I use this thing for hiking? I impulse purchased it while shopping today since I'm starting to get into hiking. While looking at the app I see a "walking" and a "running" mode. While looking at the device itself I only see a "running" mode. Is there a hiking mode? Will "running" mode cover me?

I got it because I figure with the heart rate monitor and altimeter it can probably tell me more accurate predictions of how many calories I'm burning instead of just using "MapMyHike".

Thanks

@1withhiking your asking about the multisport mode, where up to 7 out of 19 different sports may be loaded.

You want to go to your trackers settings - exercise shortcuts.  From here you can add hiking. Reorder and remove amy that are not needed.

Hi there and welcome!

If you go to your dashboard you can find the gear icon in the top right to take you to your settings. Under your device settings, you'll find a category called 'exercise shortcuts' where you can choose up to seven exercise categories. Hike is one of these.

You can move your selected categories up and down if you want. I keep my most used ones at the top to reach them quicker from the Blaze.

With the hike category, like the walk, run and bike, you can connect to your phone's GPS to see your route at a later time.
