The battery icon on the Blaze's screen is animated when charging.. when fully charged the screen lits up and displays a full green battery icon. Possible to tap the screen while charging.
A full charge can take between 1 - 2 hours when the battery is low.

Hello @tiedyejeff welcome to the Fitbit Community! 🙂 @SunsetRunner it's great to see you around Charging your Blaze can take up to 2 hours. The battery life of the tracker depends on your interaction with it. I would like to share some tips to maximize the battery life of your Blaze.

Does 1-2 hours for recharging apply equally to Surge unit? Is there any way to determine length of battery life remaining as I cannot see any means to determine when running low?
Thank you
Colin

@Colin44 , when you sync your Surge you will see a battery icon which will give you a very rough idea of the state of the battery. On your web based dashboard (not your app), under account --> notifications you can also set up to receive low battery emails from Fitbit.
How long your battery lasts deoends very much on usage. But you will do your Fitbit no harm at all to charge it little and often. Many people give it 15 minutes or so each day when they take it off to shower and they find that keeps them always topped up just enough. For best battery life it is good to avoid deep discharges, if possible.
I hope this helps! Welcome to the Community.

I charge mine every 2 or 3 days when the battery is around 50%.
The only battery-saving tip I employ is to disable quick view before I go to bed.

I charge my Blaze when I'm showering. Pretty much the only time I take it off. Did this with my Charge HR as well. Battery was always fully or mostly fully charged.
