How to activate countdown?

i am not able to activate coundown

When there I just  tapped  it and it took me to the screen to start it. I pushed in the lower right button to start it and then again to stop it. Pushed in the top right button to exit back out

Swipe left until you get to the "timer" screen the tap the screen to select. It will show "stopwatch". Then swipe left to display "countdown". Tap to select

i am on count screen but its not starting after presing play button

The start button only works once you have set the countdown time to something other than 0. Are you doing this?
