Does the Blaze have a feature to set up intervals for running/walking like other GPS watches have?

None of the publicity material I've seen suggests that it does so it's probably safest to assume not for the moment.

You can get audible feedback alerts from non-GPS watches like the Charge. So I would assume that at least that carries over if you like those.

But my guess would be that the Blaze might also show interval alerts like the Surge... I figure that is what Connected GPS to show real-time-ish time/distance/pace on the Blaze.

There's nothing I want more from Fitbit at this point except for the ability to natively do interval training for my runs. This is why I still run with other devices because I cannot do intervals unless it's manual.

I agree! I would love to be able to use just my watch and not have to pull my phone out every time I want to check my intervals.

It baffles me that after all these years they still haven't added real training programs for running. Nobody wants to manually start and stop activities to get intervals accomplished. Heck, they could add running programs with their premium plan and rake in a bunch of new subscribers. This is why I went with an Apple Watch.

Yes. I had an original Fitbit, but when I started running went with a Garmin Forerunner so I could do intervals, since I am a run walk run runner. I decided to see if the new Fitbits could do this by now, because they are a better size and will do continuous steps, which my older Forerunner won't, but it looks like I'll have to get a new Forerunner instead. Fitbit would get a TON of new buyers if they just added a simple interval timer program.

@Wohlgie the interval feature has been requested since the Surge was released, over 18 months ago. Lot of choices in the FR family and size has come down, waterproofing to support swimming, customizable watch faces, full smartphone notifications, 3rd party apps, optical HRM, battery life, etc. You'll pay a little more and in return get more useful features and top notch industrial design.

I know. I've been researching and will probably go with the FR 235. I want the built-in wrist heart rate, which I would have had on the Fitbit Surge for $100 less at my Navy Exchange, but since their is no interval timer, I'll cough up the $329 for the Forerunner 235 instead. I'm already familiar with how Garmin Connect works, etc, because of my FR 220, so that's a positive.

According to this post Interval Training is not a Blaze feature at the moment, nor is it currently planned - but there is a place where you can vote on the feature.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to clarify things a bit here. Just as @cdcolbeck mentioned, the interval training is a feature from the Charge 2 device. You may want to vote for this idea Add interval training timer .
