Is Blaze Waterproof?

After looking at all sorts of reviews online and checking (see Google search response) I am now finding out after I purchased this watch that I can't get it wet?

My blaze is holding strong still over a year later after a few jumps in the pool when I forgot it was on. Always took it off and laid it out to dry, removed from band and wiped off.

Got a link to that? Way I always remembered it, the Blaze was water resistant/splash proof. Never meant to be fully submerged at any depth. Any you void your warranty submerging it.

That's just a google search for Fitbit Blaze. You said, "It’s waterproof upto 33ft. It’s in the description on the actual Fitbit site under blaze product details."

No it's not. On the right of your google search, there is a link to the fitbit page specs that says this,

Water Resistance

Fitbit Blaze is sweat, rain and splash proof, but is not swim proof. We recommend taking it off before showering, as it’s best for your skin if the band stays dry and clean.". Nothing about depth. https://www.fitbit.com/us/shop/blaze

That page my friend @MrKane is not on Fitbits website.

Yes it states water resistant but does not qualify with s rating. 

For shallow swimming a water resistance  ratingr of150 feet is required. This is because the tests are done in calm water with the pressure increased slowly. Swimming and currents can easily add pressure.

Something can have a water resitance of 0 feet, this simply means that the the unit can not get wet at all.

You can swim with Charge 3, Flex 2, Ionic, and Versa and shower with Ace. Do not swim or shower with other Fitbit devices.

@MarkMM the standard rating of 33 feet is not enough for swimming, but is simply a rating that says the Fitbit is safe for very shallow accidental settings.

To be considered safe to swim, no deep diving, a rating of 150 feet, or 5Atm or 50 mete s is required.

Well I've never even seen fitbit post the Blaze is WATERPROOF to 33 feet? And your link is meters. 33 feet would only be 10 meters. Even worse.

If you had read further down the article, you would see that there indeed is a reference to 30 meters.

Water Resistant 30 Meters / 3 Atmospheres / 3 Bar
If your watch claims to be water resistant to 30 meters, it actually means it's just splash resistant. It does NOT mean the watch will be fine if you bring it 30 meters below sea level. While it's certainly possible that your watch could survive an extremely brief trip under very careful conditions in extremely still water, you probably shouldn't roll the dice.

Exactly what I said Rich. Your link was meters. Don't understand why you're re posting the same thing. And I already know the Blaze isn't  water proof. My whole point was I don't see anywhere that Fitbit themselves has claimed that the Blaze is waterproof to 33 feet.

And that is why I say that we are waiting for @MrKane to document his source, even though 33 feet does not make the unit water resistant to swimming.
