Is Bluetooth sharing necessary for notifications?

To clarify, I set up my new Blaze, paired, all notifications on, etc. I am using iPhone 6s. However, my notifications are inconsistent. Sometime they do not come through on the Blaze. I reset it, then everything is fine for a while. Again, it is paired with my phone, but I have the Bluetooth sharing option turned off for the Fitbit app (under system settings > Fitbit app). Could this be why? Do I need to have Bluetooth sharing option turned on in order for it to work properly? Thanks for any input.

In lollipop i don't see this option,  Fitbit can only be found  under phone settings - applicatoons - applications manager. I'm not sure which sub menu that you're looking at.

That asked a little bit about sharing. 

Shareing through BT is usually used to send info or a picture to another phone through BT, i would think that id your phone will sync the Fitbit data then it should send the notifacations.

Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense, and that's what I thought about Bluetooth sharing.
Bluetooth sharing is an option to toggle on or off in iOS for certain apps or devices.

I am having a similar issue. When I first received my blaze, my notifications worked. However, I had a problem with my iPhone 6plus and now it appears I have my blaze somehow sync twice with bluetooth. The phone labels it originally as Blaze (classic) and then just Blaze. After my phone was back up and running, I sync Bluetooth with Blaze. Then I received no notifications at all. Now, I tried today to sync it with Blaze (classic) it paired without problem. but now the blaze won't go away and there's no option to forget this device on blaze. I just want my notifications back!!

Good day @Learning2run5k BT classic is strictly used for music control, I don't think the newer Android has the forget option, but it does have the unpair. The Blaze Classic needs to be paired like any other BT device. The Blaze needs to be paired through the app. If the Blaze is connected to your Fitbit account, then open the Fitbit app, log into your account by choosing "I have an account". You should be setup, the App now has everything it needs to paper and sync the tracker.

Note that you'll only receive notifications on your tracker when your mobile device is within this radius. @Learning2run5k where you able to receive notifications?  @Rich_Laue thanks for your cooperation. 😉
