Just moved from at Alta which had it. It was great but now i see the blaze doesnt have it.

It needs it and it needs it soon.. nothing better than a full green screen at the end of the day

@benlugo since this feature is on your tracker, the only way to remove it would be through a firmware update.. My guess is that the two very short pulses just did not get your attention.

@sunnzray - great idea, thanks! I've just added 8 'alarms' I'm excited to see how it works out for me! 😊👍

I have it set to notify from 6 AM until 8 PM and I can say with certainty that the reminder to move is no longer functioning, especially since I have a desk job.

OK, yours isn't working, but unless you've done another firmware update this is an issue with your unit rather than the feature being "pulled".

I'd be tempted to leave it on the desk for 50 minutes and then watch it like a hawk at ten minutes to the hour to see what happens. Otherwise you can never be sure whether you missed it or it didn't happen.

Mine has been working fine. I had one day where it was not but turned out the reminder had been turned off for that day. I also work at an office, has been helping me feel the need to get up and get those 250 steps. I am testing the circuit clock face as well as it shows your progress for the 250 steps as one of the stat options. Wish you could also see a daily step count on the face like some of the others have as well so I could keep tabs on both when I check the time.

Twice in the last week my blaze showed the hour counting as 250, but the app and dashboard did not.  First case I was 13 of 13 in my blaze but only 12 of 13 on the app....then yesterday I was 12 of 13 on the blaze but the app was 11 of 13.  There is certinly a little discrepance where you might hit 250 on the nose on the blaze but the app might not align 1 for 1, weird.

Surprisingly it reminded a couple of times today midday. Otherwise it's been pretty quiet the last few days. It will be nice once it's working correctly. Meanwhile an iPhone alarm every 25 minutes also works pretty good.

It's funny how the product page for the Blaze had "movement reminders (coming soon)" in the feature list a little while ago and now it's been removed.

Seems like Fitbit is having problem just taking the feature from Alta and putting in on the Blaze, for no reason. They have done it before and succeded, why not again?

Fitbit wont tell you why, even when they should.

My Blaze finally got the update and so far all the move reminders have worked perfectly.

Also, I still see the reminders to move as coming soon ? ( https://www.fitbit.com/blaze)

I received a 2nd firmware update yesterday and so far today it appears to be working ok. I'll keep an eye on it and report if it fails.

@Ausnen you don't just take a feature in one tracker and move it to another tracker. The firmware needs to have some of its routines rewritten, tested, troubleshooted, retested, released to the beta group, then finally rolled out to the general public. The reminder to move is part of the firmware that is currently being rolled out.

Unfortunately it failed to notify in the 3pm hour. Womp womp.

@missjamiekaren You're right! I was looking at the page where you click "add to cart".

They tell you the features there as well but there is no move reminders in that list. Must have mixed them both up. My bad!

@Rich_Laue Well I hope Fitbit didn't screw up enough so that the Alta and Blaze run in a different coding language. Since the code for sending "you havent moved in awhile, so move" is pretty similiar if it's the same language within the same system. Except the different ways it shows up on the screen on the Blaze vs Alta.

I mean, when developers do games it can be one button press to compile the game to different platforms.

But hey, I'm not asking them to hurry up, I don't even own a Blaze. I just think that companies should be upfront with why delays are occuring and give estimates.

The coding probably is simaler, the hardware is different by more than just the display. I was mainly saying this feature did need a firmware update which with the latest firmware the blaze has reminders to move.

Mine are still not notifying a few times a day. I'm in a quiet office environment and would easily notice a buzz.

I got the push last night to update Blaze with the Reminders To Move notifications. I set it to remind me between 9 AM and 10 PM. At 9:50 AM I got the reminder that I had 10 minutes left in the hour so that worked great! At 11:30 AM I realized I didn't get a reminder at 10:50 AM and I should have since I did not hit 250 steps in that hour, so that one messed up. I'm coming up to the 11:50 AN reminder so fingers crossed it works. I agree with the others that the vibration could be a little more noticeable, maybe like the silent notification reminder.

The reminders are still sporadic some come through and some don't.

You can see how many steps you went each hour,, check the step count after the 45 mark, if it is below 250 there should be a reminder at the 50 minute mark.
