Is there a way to restart all stats when I put on because it continues to magically count hundreds of steps and calories before my day begins.

Counts thousands of steps and calories burned before I even put on.

Are you wearing the Blaze to bed? Moving your ams alot will add steps.

Is there a fan going on in the room as it will also cause it to add steps.

Calorie burned nothing is wrong with it

The calories burned are BMR calories. Your fitbit also calculates calories burned for your BMR. You burn calories just by being alive! Even Sleeping. Fitbit includes these burned calories in it's calorie calculations, so even if you did not wear the fitbit, you'll still burn these calories.

Thanks for reply,I totally understand but it's like a thousand calories and hundreds of steps just sitting idle.

@delavalladec welcome aboard! Glad to see you!

As @WendyB mentioned some extra steps and extra calories can be normal. Part of the extra info can come from either environmental causes or coming from the settings.

Regarding calories I myself get around 1800 calories for BMR. Now for calories how much are we talking about? If you move a lot or if the device gets exposed to a lot of vibrations it can rack up to 100-200 steps.

What you can do to reduce these ghost steps is change your device sensitivity. For example try changing the setting from non-dominant to dominant hand. This will reduce the tracker's sensitivity so you can have less steps added unless you really do move. You can also refresh your tracker with a little restart. It can always help with minor firmware bugs but if the extra info you get comes from the environment or from the settings then it will not really help.

Let me know if this helps clarify everything a little. Hope to hear from you soon!
