Keep the display from going dark

I am an EMT and a lifeguard, I need to check respiration rates and heartbeat for every person I come in contact with for medical necessities. With the blaze keeps going dark on me is interfering with my job on and off duty. I would look really stupid walking around with two watches. I do not care if I have to charge the watch everyday or every other day. In my personal and career opinion, this option should be left open to the end user and not a required function from the company and or the  product provider.  If Fitbit is truly considered about battery life with the display face constantly being on, they can include a disclaimer that this function would dramatically reduce battery life. That would not harm the company, watch, or any other application holding the company responsible.  I enjoy everything that Fitbit has developed for their application, step counter, heartbeat and so much more.  But if this problem is not looked into and rectified I will be forced to look into a different watch and leaving fit bit altogether.  Talking with other individuals that shared the same career path as I do, everyone of them is seriously questioning purchasing a Fitbit product when it directly interferes with their jobs and duties required.

After reviewing other post and review this  problem has not been addressed or any changes have been made at this time. If I am wrong please notify me immediately and I will  re-track my statement that I made and make a formal apology to the application and  products by Fitbit.

All you have to do is go into your Fitbit blaze into settings and put the brightness up to max

I am not worried about the brightness. But my main gripe is I need the display face to display the time nonstop unconditionally.  My apologie if my terminology missed lead you from a make concern.

Choose the Chrongraph watch with its quick start stopwatch, requested by health workers, has both analog and digital readouts, again health care workers requested, and the quick start stopwatch with both digital and analog readouts, will stay on the display until the battery dies.

Rich, I was unaware of this setting and will be looking into after my shift. Thank you very much. I hope this works.

Rich, I have changed the clock face but it is still turning off after a very short time. If the face was still on after 10-15 minutes would help me greatly. Anything else you can think of that I can do?

A warm welcome to the Community @Superman_UC@EliCoe and @Rich_Laue thanks for stopping by.

Actually, there isn't an option to keep the tracker's display on all the time. You can select the quick view option to "On" so every time you raise your hand the display will turn on, you can select this by going to your tracker's settings and tap this option to on. You can also take a look at the Ability to Edit How Long Blaze Screen Stays Illuminated request, vote for it and leave your comment.

Catch you later. Woman Happy

Rich, I'm with you.  I'm an EMT as well and just started using my fitbit on calls this week (I'd previously been wearing an analog watch on calls) and it made it nearly impossible to get an accurate pulse, since the screen timed out after 10 rather than 15 seconds. 😞 Were you ever able to find a fix to your problem?

Best Answer

Yes @tmcowgirl I use the watch I kentionmin my last post.

With a tap ad the lower button.. I have an analog stopwatch that stays on until the battery dies.

I'm a nursing student and thus would benefit me as well. I don't want a different smart watch I want my blaze

@Jfw-rn just make sure you carry your charging cord.

Fitbit enabled notifications to automatically turn on the screen and people are already complaining about the reduced battery life

I have the exact same issue. Medical Scribe, CNA, and ED tech and I need to be able to check basic vitals. Everything about this product is great except for the display shut off.
