Did you mean:

Lock screen functionality should be a complaint.

The lack of a way to lock the blazes screen has been indicated a long time ago and as has mentioned previously this is not a suggestion, it is a complaint.

Some examples of similar complaints would be:

“My car brakes don’t work in the snow”
“My laptop only works inside”

The point is this watch was designed for a market which at the very least expects to be able to track mainstream exercises without negatively impacting the exercise itself.

If the watch stops tracking a mainstream exercise in a typical environment (e.g. on an arm against long sleeves) then the watch is not ‘fit for purpose’.

The number of votes this suggested complaint gets does not relate to its ‘fitness for purpose’.

Actually by not being ‘fit for purpose’ you are breaking the laws of many countries:

https://www.business.govt.nz/news/guarantees-why-goods-must-be-fit-for-purpose/

I bought this watch about two years ago thinking that it would be able to be used for kickboxing as indicated. It turns out that it is not fit for this purpose and I now question why I did not return it instead of trusting that the issue would be fixed.

Fitbit why has no attempt ever been made to fix this issue when it had clearly been in violation of consumer rights laws for years?

Hi there @MJGG. Great to see you in the Community Forums! 🙂

Thanks a lot for bringing this up. I was able to find two feature suggestions, not exactly oriented for the Fitbit Blaze but fits into the same category. The suggestions are to be able to lock the display on the tracker as you mention and one of them seems to be under consideration, which means that our team is already evaluating the possibility to implement this on the Fitbit trackers. Please take a look at the suggestions and vote for them and add your comments and anything else you may need, I'm here to help. The links to the suggestions are the following:

-Lock Touchscreen to Clockface

-Lock tracker while exercising

I'm tired of this vote for your favorite complaint and maybe it will get fixed.

Seriously if the company I worked for did that we would be out of business.

To me fitbit has a great suggestion system but  completely inadequate complaint system tacking ownership of its product.

I have not come across a single person willing to actually give an offical comment to a complaint which is what I mean by 'lack of ownership of the product'.

I mention consumer rights laws yet receive no comment to this statement.

Someone mentions complaint and get told it's a suggestion.

If you told me that the seatbelts don't work and I told you I'll add it as a suggestion and you can vote for it you would be pretty unhappy.
