I went for a long walk and hit my 10K steps, saw the "fireworks" and everything. I synced to my phone and everything updated. I noticed my walk wasn't automatically registered so I added manually and then synced again... somehow I went back to 8,600 steps!?!? Both my fitbit and phone reverted!

Oh man, don't you hate this, when manually adding a walk or run it will override the steps recorded by the tracker. Remove your walk and the steps will come back.

Now go to the web site and add the walk here

To the right of common activities you will see a stop eatch, use this to enter the walk.. This way it just puts in a start and stop time, then uses your trackers steps.

Thanks for your advice,  Rich. Your suggestion solved my dilemma of missing steps when I updated my work out from Elliptical to Treadmill. Deleted the update I made, re-synced and boom 💥 steps are back.
